AIG総合研究所は、「AIG総研インサイト」の第３号として、企業で働く人々のメンタルヘルスに関する意識についての調査結果およびそれに基づく今後の論点についてのレポートを発行します。

先に発行したAIG総研インサイト第２号「企業のメンタルヘルス管理の枠組みと現状」でも指摘したとおり、近年、うつ病をはじめとする精神障害による労災補償の請求・認定件数が近年急激に増加するなど、職場におけるメンタルヘルスリスクが高まっています。
加えて、現在政府が優先的に取り組んでいる「働き方改革」においても、働く人々の多様な働き方を担保するため、労働安全衛生法を改正し産業医の権限を明確化するなど、企業のメンタルヘルス管理の枠組みを強化しています。

本レポートでは、このような昨今の動向をふまえ、企業で働く人々が、自身のメンタルヘルス、あるいは職場におけるメンタルヘルス管理についてどのような考えを持っているのかをAIG総研として独自に調査した結果と、その結果をふまえた今後の論点について述べています。

AIG Institute Insight “Survey on Mental Health for Workers and Future Issues” released

AIG Institute has released the 3^rd issue of “AIG Insight” with this edition foucsing on a survey on the mental health of workers and possible future issues stemming from mental health matters in the workforce.

As noted in the previous report - AIG Institute Insight #2 “Framework and Current Environment of Industrial Mental Health Management in Japan” - the steep increase in the number of Workers' Compensation Insurance claims related to mental health (such as the depression) clearly shows that industrial risk around the issue of mental health has been increasing.

In addition, the government is strengthening the framework for industrial mental health management by, for example, clarifying the function of industrial physicians, along with making revisions to the Industrial Safety and Health Law. These actions are part of the “Work-style Reform” initiatives, a high-priority policy for the government.

In this context, this issue of AIG Insight focuses on the results of a survey conducted by the AIG Institute on what workers think about their own mental health. Based on the survey, the report also looks at issues around industrial mental health management and possible future issues related to mental health management in the workplace.
