『企業健保と連携したヘルスデータサイエンス「コラボヘルス・プラス」の可能性』を公表/AIG Institute Insight: Potential in “Collaborative Health Plus,” a health data science linked to corporate health insurance released【ENG】

English follows Japanese.

AIG Institute Insight: Potential in “Collaborative Health Plus,” a health data science linked to corporate health insurance

AIG Institute has released its 5th issue of “AIG Insight,” with this edition focusing on “Collaborative Health Plus,” a new framework for health data science initiatives.

As previously announced*, AIG entered a joint research agreement with the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (JNIOSH) and is working together with JNIOSH on research into improving workplace health.

As part of the agreement, we conducted a survey with AIG employees on the subject of “sedentary lifestyle risk” and correlated the resulting data with participating employees’ medical health data from the AIG Health Insurance Association. The survey results offer a unique framework for research in the area of health data science — an area that has recently gained attention for combining big data and an evidence-based approach in order to address issues such as general health and wellbeing, comorbidity, medical care, and nursing care.

In this 5th issue of “AIG Insight,” we call this new and unique framework “Collaborative Health Plus;” and, after putting together a comparison of this framework with earlier frameworks – looking at differences, benefits, and any cautionary points — we summarized the practical experience gained from the sedentary lifestyle risk analysis AIG conducted.
