AIG Japan will transition away from its insurance holding company structure and consolidate its entities into AIG General Insurance Co., Ltd. (AIG General). These changes will take effect January 1, 2027, subject to regulatory approval.

As AIG marks its 80th anniversary in Japan, we are advancing toward a more integrated operating model underpinned by a strong, unified business. This evolution will enhance our ability to respond with speed and flexibility to a more complex risk environment, while enabling our customers to benefit more fully from the scale, expertise, and resources of AIG’s global organization.

January 1, 2027 (planned)
Details of the Organizational Restructuring
- AIG Japan Holdings K.K., American Home Assurance Co., Ltd., and AIG Business Partners K.K., will be consolidated under AIG General, and current operations of the three entities will be conducted within AIG General.
- Other existing AIG Japan group subsidiaries will each become a subsidiary of AIG General.
Impact to Our Customers
This organizational change will not affect existing insurance contracts with our customers.

AIG Japan Holdings KK will relocate its headquarters as of January 2026 to the following location.

New Address: Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower, 1-3-1 Azabudai, Minato-ku, Tokyo
(Current address: Kamiyacho MT Building, 4-3-20 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo)

Effective Date: Thursday, January 1, 2026

Relocation Date: Colleagues will begin moving into the new location in November and is scheduled to be completed by December 2025.
